Summer Training Program

Pinnacle Performance’s Summer Program is a 9-week training program designed to give athletes the opportunity to set up their entire year for success. Champions are made during the off-season, and nowhere is that more true than the Pinnacle performance Summer Program. Practice is held three times per week to allow for athletes to have all of their important workouts for the week with the Pinnacle staff. The Summer Program begins with a one-on-one workout formation and goal planning session, a private shoe fitting, and an individual functional movement screening and blood lactate testing to determine the starting point for neuromuscular and aerobic development. The core of the Pinnacle Performance Curriculum for Greatness is the progressive group training. Pinnacle Performance Summer Program training is individualized and can be tailored to complement and incorporate high school and collegiate training programs. While workouts are indivudualized, each training session is broken into groups to allow our athletes to train with other dedicated and competitive peers, making our practices fun and competitive. The coaching staff carefully monitors our athlete’s heath and athletic progress throughout the fall season to maximize short term performance in cross country and long term improvements. Each week, families and athletes will get a personalized progress update from their athlete’s coach.

In addition to on-the-track training and testing, athletes will have full access to our Pinnacle Lifestyle series led by our staff sports psychologist and sports nutritionist. Each week, athletes and thier families participate in the hands-on educational events led by our staff professionals. Events inlcude mini workshops at practice, large and small group lectures, grocery store tours, webinars, and cooking demos.

The Summer Program has groups for middle distance, distance, and sprinters. Our Summer Program also has a training group for athletes from other sports that are looking for an edge and further develop their speed and power.
